Meet Your Hosts

KATHRYN FORD RICHTER

Kathryn began practicing yoga in her late teens. Being a naturally curious person, she wanted to know what yoga was all about and had to offer. She began to feel more calm and grounded and also more flexible. As time went on she grew to find a deeper awareness of the mind/body connection. Kathryn suffered from a few lower back injuries from years of waitressing and a car accident and found yoga was always the thing that helped her heal.

Kathryn went on to become a yoga teacher as she wanted to help others connect to themselves on a deeper level. She became an RN and later a Self Care and Mindset Coach. Kathryn brings all of her experiences into her classes and people find her lightheartedness refreshing. She often offers nuggets of wisdom as her intention is to help people become more mindful of their movement and how their thoughts create their feelings, and ultimately lead to action or inaction. Kathryn’s mission is to help everyone learn to make small shifts in their lives by learning the tools to destress, feel more centered and balanced in their often hectic life.

Her classes focus on alignment while also allowing her students to practice from an intuitive and dynamic place. You will find all levels of students in her classes as she always offers many modifications to meet people where they are at. Kathryn always urges her students to never take themselves too seriously and often jokes, her classes are a “no judgment zone”. Kathryn integrates and educates on the benefits of integrating essential oils into your practice. She closes her class with the option for aromatherapy and reiki energy which will leave you feeling calm and refreshed.

When Kathryn is not teaching yoga at a studio, on a SUP or leading a retreat, she enjoys time with her husband, friends and family, hiking, SUP or kayaking, or traveling to fun new places all around the world.
