BOOKING POLICIES

All rates are in US funds (USD) unless stated otherwise on the payment page or invoice.

DEPOSITS

Due to the nature of this vacation, commitments must be made well in advance of your package beginning with us. We require a deposit of 25% - 50% of the total trip cost per person, depending on the property booked, which must be received by SnowLocals Group within 10 days of confirmation of your reservation. All payments are payable to SnowLocals or Charles Cohn.

BALANCE PAYMENTS

Payment of the balance is due 90 days prior to the start of your package. Reservations may be cancelled without notice to the guest if full payment has not been received by SnowLocals on the due date. For bookings made less than 90 days prior to the package beginning, the full package price is due at time of booking.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Deposits and balance of payments may be made by Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, PayPal, direct deposit, Bank Transfer, cash, or Venmo.

CONSULTING FEE

If you have agreed to pay the one-time consulting fee in exchange for information, links, and recommendations then the payment is due in full upfront. Payment is possible via credit card, bank transfer, or Venmo. This fee is non-refundable and the amount of information exchanged can depend on the questions that the customer asks and the timeline until the trip begins.

CANCELLATIONS

If you have to cancel your reservation, we require written notification by registered mail to the company’s mailing address at the date of the cancellation notice, or by e­mail to the company’s e­mail address existing as at the date of the cancellation notice.

All deposits for cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the package commencement date are NON­REFUNDABLE and will be retained by SnowLocals Group.

For cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the package commencement date, the total package price is due in full and is NON­REFUNDABLE. If the cancelled reservation can be re­sold to another guest that assumes the contractual obligations, and only if the cancelled space is still available, an administration fee of $100 will apply.

SnowLocals reserves the right to cancel any package at any time. FULL REFUNDS will be given if the trip is cancelled by SnowLocals.

VARIATIONS

In the event that you wish to vary your booking, the request for a variation must be made in writing. We will use reasonable endeavours to try and satisfy the request for variation and will advise you if it can be satisfied.

If the request for variation can be satisfied, we will advise you of any variation in the package or tour price; and you will be required to pay a non­refundable administration fee of $50 in respect of each variation requested, payable within 14 days of confirmation of the variation.

If despite the reasonable endeavors of SnowLocals, the request for variation cannot be satisfied, then it is agreed that the booking sought to be varied shall remain in existence (if you seek to cancel the booking, the cancellation provisions set out herein will apply).

REFUNDS

No refunds will be made on any unused portion of accommodation, car rental transfers and ski passes, nor can components of the holiday be substituted for alternative arrangements once the holiday has commenced.

Ski lift passes are non refundable if they are lost, stolen and/or damaged. They cannot be replaced and a new ski pass will need to be purchased.

Ski lift passes are subject to regulations and rules set out by the issuing ski area. SnowLocals does not accept responsibility for violations of individual ski resort policy or procedure, nor do we accept responsibility for any accident or occurrence based on suggested locations to ski or snowboard form our staff or from reenacting stunts or finding the locations that are shown in images or video we have published. 

SnowLocals Group cannot under any circumstances be responsible for snow conditions. Cancellation/amendment fees will be applied if cancelling or changing bookings on the basis of weather conditions.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

SnowLocals is a World Nomads Affiliate and World Nomads provides travel insurance. Your homeowners insurance may not be enough. Make sure your insurance covers you while you are in Japan. No refunds are given due to illness, injury and SnowLocals is not responsible for any medical evacuation costs, cancellations or loss of baggage, skis, etc due to airlines or unforeseen accidents.
